BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) -- China's civil aviation continues to recover as daily flights hit a new high on Thursday since the COVID-19 outbreak, said the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on Friday.

The daily number of civil aviation flights reached 13,059 on Thursday, about 80 percent of the level before the COVID-19 outbreak, according to the CAAC.

The daily number of air passengers hit 1.27 million on Thursday, rebounding to 70 percent of the level in the same period last year.
